AI Backlink Building Services: Who To Hire, How AI Is Used, And Which Models Do The Work
AI backlink building services ranked, how AI is really used in link building, and which GoldieBench-scored models suit outreach and content work.

AI backlink building services are link building agencies that use AI to find prospects, personalise outreach and plan content, while real people earn links from real websites.
My ranked list starts with my own agency, Goldie Agency with its link building brand Goldstar Links, and I'm telling you that upfront so you can weigh my bias.
After that, the third-party services I'd shortlist are Page One Power, uSERP, Editorial.Link, Siege Media, Respona, Outreach Monks and FATJOE.
The problem these services solve is simple, because good content often sits on page three until other sites link to it.
In this post I'll explain what these services are, how they use AI, who to hire, what Google's rules say and what to ask, and then I'll show you which AI models suit outreach and content work.
The ranked list of AI backlink building services
Every detail in this table comes from each provider's own website, which I read for this post.
| Rank | Service | Where AI shows up | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Goldie Agency and Goldstar Links (my agency) | AI runs around 80% of our internal operations, and we sell an AI Automation service | Businesses that want links, articles and strategy from one team |
| 2 | Page One Power | An AI Search Optimisation service next to link building | Established brands that want senior strategists |
| 3 | uSERP | A toolsuite that finds the sources AI answers already cite | B2B and SaaS brands chasing AI citations |
| 4 | Editorial.Link | A Link Type Classifier that screens out sites selling links | Buyers who want to approve every prospect |
| 5 | Siege Media | AI-enhanced, real-time content strategy | Brands that earn links through content and PR |
| 6 | Respona | AI deep research for briefs, with humans and AI writing together | Teams that want done-for-you placements |
| 7 | Outreach Monks | Brand Mentions for AI visibility | Agencies that resell manual outreach links |
| 8 | FATJOE | An AI SEO category with brand and community mentions | Resellers who want an order-and-go marketplace |
Every company here is an established, legitimate provider, and the order reflects fit rather than a verdict on quality.
I haven't listed third-party prices, because most of them quote after a call and I won't guess.
What are AI backlink building services?
A backlink is a link from another website to yours, and Google still uses links as a strong signal of authority.
A backlink building service earns those links for you by pitching editors, writing useful content and creating assets people want to cite.
An AI backlink building service does the same work, but it uses AI for the slow research and writing steps.
People still pitch editors, and editors still decide whether your page deserves a link.
I learned this the hard way, because my first site was a cryptocurrency blog that got zero Google traffic for months.
Link building is what finally made my affiliate sites rank, and that's why I started Goldie Agency on my own.
It has since grown into a 7-figure agency with a team of 70+ SEO experts.
How AI is genuinely used in link building
AI earns its place in five jobs.
| Job | How AI helps | Example from the list |
|---|---|---|
| Prospecting | It sorts thousands of possible sites by topic, relevance and traffic | uSERP says its toolsuite finds the exact sources to target before outreach |
| Qualifying | It flags sites that sell links or have no real audience | Editorial.Link's Link Type Classifier |
| Personalisation | It drafts pitches that reference what an editor actually published, and a human edits them | Ask any provider to show you a sample pitch before outreach starts |
| Content | It builds research, briefs and drafts for linkable assets | Respona's AI deep research briefs and Siege Media's AI-enhanced strategy |
| Tracking | It finds where your brand is cited in AI answers | uSERP's in-house AI visibility toolsuite |
The one job AI should never do is create the link itself.
What Google's link spam policy says
Google's spam policies define link spam as creating links primarily to manipulate search rankings.
The examples include "using automated programs or services to create links to your site".
They also include buying or selling links for ranking purposes, excessive link exchanges, low-quality directory links and keyword-rich forum signatures.
Paid links are acceptable for advertising when they're marked rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow".
The scaled content abuse policy separately warns against using generative AI to create many pages without adding value for users.
So the safe split is that AI handles research and drafting, while people earn the links.
Number one: Goldie Agency and Goldstar Links
Goldie Agency is my company, so this is the most biased section on the page.
The link building page lists three monthly packages.
| Package | Backlinks | 1,500-word SEO articles | What's added |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 4 | 4 | 25 custom keywords, a competitor content gap report, a content calendar, a dedicated account manager and SEO Elite Circle access |
| Plus | 12 | 8 | A direct Discord channel with me |
| Max | 20 | 12 | A 1:1 monthly strategy call with me and promotion on my YouTube channel |
Links are priced at $302 per backlink for DR 30 to 39, $342 for DR 40 to 59 and $390 for DR 60 and above.
The homepage promises niche-relevant placements with manual outreach and no PBNs.
Goldstar Links describes the skyscraper technique, a 3-layer approval process for every backlink, a personal account manager and a pay-on-performance model. One case study on the agency site shows The Wheel Generator growing traffic by 767% between May and August 2025 with only 6 backlinks.
No agency can guarantee rankings, and that includes mine.
The seven third-party services in brief
Page One Power says it has been exclusively a link building service since 2010, with a 100% US-based senior team. uSERP says its editorial links are earned by outreach and never bought, and it also sells GEO and digital PR. Editorial.Link offers a trial backlink, lets you approve every prospect and says its links come from sites averaging DR 67. Siege Media positions itself as a full-service GEO agency that earns links through content, research reports and digital PR. Respona sells done-for-you placements with a pay-per-result model. Outreach Monks says it has run since 2017, delivers 4,000+ manual links a month and uses no PBNs. FATJOE is a white-label marketplace that says it has delivered over 260,000 orders since 2012.Questions to ask before you hire
These questions separate link builders from link sellers quickly.
- Can I see sample prospects before the campaign starts?
- Are the links earned through outreach, or are any of them paid placements?
- Do you ever use PBNs, link farms or sites that sell links to anyone?
- What does AI do in your process, and what do people do?
- Does a human edit every article and every pitch?
- What happens if a link is removed?
Red flags to walk away from
- A guarantee of first-page rankings is a promise nobody can keep.
- Hundreds of links for a tiny fee usually means automated or low-quality placements.
- An offer of "fully automated" link creation describes exactly what Google bans.
- A provider that won't show you the linking sites is hiding the thing you most need to check.
- Identical keyword-rich anchors on every link create the pattern Google's policy names.
How to run an AI-assisted link building campaign yourself
You don't have to hand everything to an agency, because the research layer is easy to run with AI.
Start by listing three to five pages that already rank on page two or three, because those pages move fastest when they get links.
Next, ask an AI model to find sites that have written about the same topic in the last year and to sort them by relevance.
Then cut any site with no real audience, no clear author or a page that openly sells links to anyone.
After that, ask the model to summarise one recent article from each editor so your pitch can mention something specific.
Write the pitch yourself or edit the draft heavily, because editors can spot a template in one line.
Offer something useful in return, such as a data point, a better resource or an expert quote, rather than just asking for a link.
Send the emails yourself in small batches, and keep a simple log of who you contacted and what they said.
Track rankings for your target pages for 60 to 90 days before you judge whether the campaign worked.
If that sounds like too much work, that's exactly the gap the services above fill, and you can still use AI to check their reports.
How long AI backlink building services take to work
Links rarely move rankings overnight, so set your expectations before you start.
Most campaigns need 60 to 90 days before you can judge them fairly, and competitive keywords can take longer.
The pages that respond fastest are the ones Google already considers relevant, which is why I always start with page-two pages.
A few strong, relevant links usually beat a large pile of weak ones, and the Wheel Generator case study above is a good example.
Once a page moves, put more links behind it, and stop spending on pages that don't respond.

Which AI models are best for outreach and content work?
Now for the GoldieBench part, and I need to be clear about what it measures.
GoldieBench scores models on one-shot builds such as landing pages, apps, games and visuals, on a 0 to 10 scale.
It doesn't score outreach emails or link building directly, and none of these link building services ships its own model on the board.
What it does show is which models follow detailed instructions and produce polished work first time, which is exactly what you need for briefs, pitch drafts and linkable assets.
These are the live averages from each model's page.
| Model | GoldieBench average | Price on the board | Where I'd use it in link building |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claude Opus 5 | 8.27 | $5 / $25 per M tokens | Final pitch edits, long-form linkable assets and research reports |
| Hermes MoA | 8.17 | Panel plus aggregator calls via OpenRouter | Research briefs where you want several models checked against each other |
| GPT-5.6 Sol | 8.16 | $5 / $30 per M tokens | Prospect research summaries and content outlines |
| Qwen 3.8 | 8.10 | Qoder plan | Interactive tools and calculators that attract links |
| MiniMax M3 | 7.97 | $0.30 / $1.50 per M tokens | High-volume prospect sorting and first-draft pitches |
| Kimi K3 | 7.89 | $3 per M input tokens | Long prospect lists and summarising editors' recent articles |
| GLM-5.2 | 7.77 | Open weights, free for individuals | Budget prospect tagging you can run yourself |
| Gemini 3.6 Flash | 7.08 | $1.50 per M input tokens | Fast, cheap classification of large site lists |
The multi-model Fusion panel from OpenRouter tops the board at 8.59, and it's worth testing for research-heavy prompts where accuracy matters more than speed.
For most link builders, my practical setup is a cheap model for sorting and a top model for anything an editor will read.
That means MiniMax M3 or GLM-5.2 on the prospect list, then Claude Opus 5 or GPT-5.6 Sol on the pitch drafts and content.
A person still reads and sends every pitch, because the model can't build the relationship for you.
If you want a free route, my local models board shows which models run on your own machine, though they score well below the cloud leaders.

FAQ
What are AI backlink building services?
They are link building agencies that use AI for prospecting, qualifying sites, drafting personalised pitches and planning content. People still pitch editors and earn links from real, relevant websites.
Which AI backlink building service is best?
Julian Goldie ranks his own agency, Goldie Agency with Goldstar Links, first and discloses the bias. His third-party shortlist is Page One Power, uSERP, Editorial.Link, Siege Media, Respona, Outreach Monks and FATJOE.
Is AI link building against Google's spam policies?
Using AI for research and drafting is fine. Google's spam policies list automated programs or services that create links, and paid links that pass ranking credit, as link spam.
Do AI backlink building services use their own AI model?
None of the services in this list ships its own model on GoldieBench. They use AI inside their own processes and tools, such as Editorial.Link's Link Type Classifier or uSERP's AI visibility toolsuite.
Which AI model is best for writing outreach emails?
GoldieBench measures one-shot builds rather than emails, so treat it as a guide to instruction-following. Claude Opus 5 averages 8.27 and GPT-5.6 Sol averages 8.16, while MiniMax M3 averages 7.97 at a much lower price.
What is the cheapest model for sorting link prospects?
On the board, MiniMax M3 averages 7.97 at $0.30 per million input tokens, and GLM-5.2 averages 7.77 with open weights that are free for individuals.
