The Hark Pro App Explained: Where To Download It, How To Set It Up, And What Runs Inside It
The Hark Pro app is free on iPhone, iPad, Android and web. Store links, device requirements, phone setup, permissions, plans and the models behind it.

The Hark Pro app is a free personal AI agent from Hark Labs that you can download on iPhone, iPad and Android, or use in a browser at hark.com.
Hark Labs was founded by Brett Adcock, who also founded Figure and Archer Aviation, and Hark Pro launched on 6 October 2026.
The app remembers what you tell it, reads your connected email and apps, and uses its own cloud computer to book, order and pay for things.
Every feature is on the free plan, and the paid plans only add usage.
I tested Hark Pro on the free plan on camera, and I checked both store listings and Hark's own pages on 11 October 2026.
In this post I'll cover where to get the app, which devices run it, how to set it up on a phone, every feature, the plans, the permissions and the limits.
At the end, I'll cover what's known about the models inside it and how the comparable models score here.
What the Hark Pro app is
Hark calls Hark Pro "the operating system for your life".
Hark's guide says Hark is the company and the intelligence, and Hark Pro is the software on the web and in the iOS and Android apps.
You talk to it in one persistent chat thread.
It learns your preferences as you go, and it forgets a memory when you ask it to.
When a job needs a website, it starts a Handoff, which is a computer in the cloud that signs in to sites and takes actions for you.
Hark's guide says the app has three main views, which are Home, Chat and Projects.
When I opened it, it felt like the Apple of AI agents, because the design is that clean.
Where to download the Hark Pro app
There are three official ways in, and each link below loaded when I checked.
| Platform | Official listing | What the listing says |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision | Hark Pro on the App Store | Hark Labs Inc is the seller, and it is free with in-app purchases |
| Android | Hark Pro on Google Play | Hark Labs Inc. is the developer, and it is free with in-app purchases |
| Any computer | hark.com | It runs in a browser, and you sign in with Google, Apple or an email address |
Hark's download page shows both store buttons and a QR code you can scan.
Check that the publisher says Hark Labs, because an unrelated podcast app called Hark Audio shows up in the same searches.
Hark Pro app requirements, ratings and regions
| Detail | iOS app | Android app |
|---|---|---|
| Requirements | iOS 17.6 or later, iPadOS 17.6 or later, or visionOS 1.3 or later | Google Play checks your device |
| Size | 102.7 MB | Not confirmed |
| Rating on 11 October 2026 | 4.9 from 149 ratings on the US store | 4.8 from 193 reviews |
| Downloads shown | Apple doesn't show them | 500+ |
| Age rating | 18+ | Everyone 10+ |
| Languages | English and 28 more | Not confirmed |
| Latest update | Version 2.2.0 | Updated on 10 October 2026 |
The two stores disagree on the age rating, but Hark's terms say you must be at least 18.
The app is days old, so the ratings will move.
I couldn't confirm a minimum Android version from the Google Play listing.
Hark doesn't publish a country list.
The App Store listing appeared in every storefront I checked, including the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, India, Japan, Brazil, Thailand and Singapore.
It didn't appear in the China storefront.
The Google Play listing loaded for the US and the UK.
Is there a Hark Pro app for Mac or Windows?
Hark lists three platforms, which are iOS, Android and web.
I couldn't find a native Mac or Windows app, so on a computer you open hark.com in your browser.
Hark's App Store description says its full capabilities are shared across Android, iOS and web.
That means the phone app isn't a cut-down version of the web app.
I also looked for a home-screen widget and a watch app, and neither store listing mentions one.
Panels are Hark's own mini apps, and they live inside the app.
How to set up the Hark Pro app on your phone
Setup took me a few minutes.
First, install Hark Pro from the App Store or Google Play and check the publisher.
Second, sign in with Google, Apple or an email address, and use the same sign-in on the web.
Third, decide on notifications, because that's how Hark reaches you for approvals and updates.
Fourth, connect your email, because Hark recommends doing that first, and I connected my Gmail.
Fifth, check the details Hark shows you, such as your location.
Sixth, answer its opening question, which for me was, "Hi Julian. What's one thing on your plate this week I could take off?"
Seventh, add your wallet only after you've watched it finish a few jobs.
Hark suggested booking a trip, a dinner reservation or an appointment as a first job.
What to do first in the Hark Pro app
I'd do three things on day one.
The first is a real booking.
I typed, "Book an Italian restaurant for Wednesday next week."
Hark asked how many people and what time, and it understood my typo'd reply of "6pm, two people".
Then it started booking one of my favourite restaurants on its own computer screen, and I told it to stop before it completed.
The second is a Panel.
You say "create a new panel" and type what you want.
When I asked for a productivity Panel, Hark asked whether I meant meeting hours versus focus time, or to-do tasks, and it offered to connect ClickUp or Asana.
The example Panels I saw tracked calendar events, Shopify packages arriving this week and new Apple Podcasts episodes.
Fitness, workout and calorie-tracking Panels are easy next ideas.
The third is "Prep my day", which checks your calendar and inbox and builds the day's itinerary.
The example I saw said, "Your inbox is clean. Do you want me to pull in the sales numbers before your team sales meeting at 4 p.m.?"
Every Hark Pro app feature
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Chat | One persistent thread where you ask for anything and where Handoffs happen |
| Handoff | Hark's cloud computer that signs in to websites and completes tasks |
| Home | Panels and Action Buttons on one screen, and you can even pay bills from it |
| Panels | Mini apps you create by typing what you want |
| Action Buttons | One-tap cards such as paying a bill or cancelling a subscription |
| Projects | Dedicated threads that store files for long-horizon tasks like planning an event |
| Proactive inbox | Reads your emails and proposes action items for a yes or no |
| Side prompts and "show" | Prompts like "quiet this" and "close this notification", and a show function that pulls things into the chat |
| Attachments and voice | Files and voice input are accepted, but there is no voice output |
| Scheduled tasks | One section that manages tasks you set up in chat |
| Specialties | Multi-step workflows Hark memorises for jobs you repeat |
| Memory | Learns from your conversations and forgets a memory on request |
| Trip planning | Finds camping spots, writes a packing list, says when to leave and books flights |
In my test, the integrations were Gmail, Slack, GitHub, LinkedIn, Notion, Amazon and PayPal, and I could add a wallet.
Hark's guide also lists Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 as direct Services.
Connected apps work directly inside Hark's own computer, which was easier than Grok Bot, where I often had to log in again through its computer.
I called it a very simple, easy-to-use version of something like OpenClaw straight out of the box.
On a phone, voice input and Action Buttons are the two features I'd lean on most.
Your phone asks for microphone access the first time you dictate, which is how iOS and Android handle any voice feature.
Hark Pro app plans and in-app prices
| Plan | Price on hark.com | US App Store in-app price | Usage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hark Pro | Free | Free | The base allowance |
| Hark Pro² | $20 a month | $26.00 | 2x more usage |
| Hark Pro³ | $100 a month | $129.99 | 10x more usage |
Hark's pricing page says all features are offered in all plans, and upgrading increases usage.
The price gap between the website and the App Store is real.
Hark's terms say that when you buy through an app store, the app store sets the local price.
So I'd compare the price on hark.com before subscribing inside the iPhone app.
The App Store listing also shows a Hark Pro⁴ in-app purchase at $200.00, but Hark's pricing page doesn't describe it, so I won't guess what it includes.
I haven't confirmed Google Play's in-app prices.
Hark Pro app permissions and privacy
The App Store privacy label says data linked to you may include user content, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, payment info, precise and coarse location, and contact info.
Google Play's data safety section says the developer shares no data with third parties and encrypts data in transit.
It lists emails, SMS or MMS, files, calendar events and personal info as data the app may collect, and it marks most of them as optional.
Location has a visible use, because the sky behind the app is a real-time simulation of the sky where you are.
Hark's privacy policy says it relies on your consent for device settings such as GPS location, camera or photos.
Hark's terms say that adding your mobile number means you agree to automated text messages, and you can stop them by removing the number.
Hark's privacy policy says it doesn't use your inputs, outputs, memory, connected account data or sandbox data to train AI models.
It adds that no opt-out is needed.
Hark says it never sells your data or shares it with advertisers.
Cards and logins sit in the encrypted Secured by Hark vault, which Hark says it can't view.
You can delete your account under Settings, then Profile, then Delete Account.
Hark's terms say it will ask you to confirm before it spends your money unless you tell it otherwise.
Hark Pro app limits
It doesn't talk back, because voice is input only.
It has no native Mac or Windows app.
It has a usage cap on the free plan, and the paid plans only raise that cap.
It acts on real accounts, so a vague request can become a real booking.
Hark's guide admits its tracking can lag by a few minutes, so a delivery app's own notification may arrive first.
Hark says its first physical product arrives in 2027, so there's no hardware yet.
It also doesn't let you choose the model behind it, which brings me to the question builders ask me.
Which models run inside the Hark Pro app?
The Hark Pro app doesn't ship a model you can pick, and Hark hasn't officially named the model behind its main assistant.
Here is what Hark has actually said.
Handoff is Hark's own computer use model, and Hark says the results it published came from post-training.
Hark claims Handoff took the top spot on the Online-Mind2Web human evaluation leaderboard.
Hark also claims it outperformed GPT 5.4 by 8 points and Opus 4.8 by 2 points on average across three browser-use benchmarks.
Those are Hark's own numbers, so treat them as vendor claims.
Hark's security page says it prioritises its own models whenever they're best.
The same page says the third-party models it uses have zero data retention.
So the honest answer is that the app runs a mix of Hark's own models and unnamed third-party models.
How the models Hark compares itself with score on GoldieBench
GoldieBench gives every model the same one-shot prompt to build a game, a page, a simulation or a visual, then scores the rendered result from 0 to 10.
The Hark Pro app is an app, so it isn't on the board, and neither is Handoff.
What I can show you is the comparison model Hark named, next to the current leaders.
| Model | Why it's here | GoldieBench avg |
|---|---|---|
| Opus 4.8 | Hark says Handoff beat it by 2 points on browser-use benchmarks | 7.51 |
| Claude Opus 5.5 | A newer Opus, for context | 7.57 |
| GPT-5.6 Sol | A current GPT on the board, since GPT 5.4 isn't benched | 8.16 |
| Claude Opus 5 | The top single model here | 8.27 |
GPT 5.4 isn't on the board, so I won't guess its score.
GoldieBench doesn't test browsing or bookings, so it can't confirm or deny Hark's Handoff claims.
It measures building and reasoning, which matters for the websites, spreadsheets and slide decks Hark says the app can make.
What the bench means for Hark Pro app users
The paid plans don't buy you a smarter model, because every plan has the same features.
They buy you more runs.
So if the app gets a job wrong on the free plan, upgrading won't fix it, and you should rewrite the instruction instead.
It also means the phone app and the web app use the same brains, because Hark says the capabilities are shared.
If you want a brain you fully control, the local models board shows which free models are good enough to run on your own machine.
My launch-day breakdown is in the Hark AI agent post, the plans are in the Hark Pro explainer, and my verdict is in the Hark Pro review.
Should you install the Hark Pro app?
A viewer listed Hermes, Muse, Dots, Grok, OpenBot and now Hark, and asked whether the differences are big enough to configure everything from scratch again.
My answer is that you shouldn't switch for novelty.
Install it if it does a real job on your phone better than what you use now.
If you've never had a personal agent working for you, it's the easiest place to start.
