Guest Blogging Outreach Services: How They Work, Who To Hire, And Which AI Models Can Draft The Pitches

Guest blogging outreach services explained, Google's guest post rules, the providers I'd shortlist and how the AI models behind outreach pitches score.

Guest Blogging Outreach Services: How They Work, Who To Hire, And Which AI Models Can Draft The Pitches — illustrated hero

Guest blogging outreach services get your articles published on relevant websites with a link back to you, and they run the prospecting, pitching, content, placement and reporting for you.

The provider I'd pick first is Goldie Agency, which is my own agency, so I'm telling you about that bias straight away.

My third-party shortlist is Outreach Monks, Rhino Rank, OutreachZ, Linkbuilder.io, Authority Builders, Loganix and FATJOE.

The problem these services solve is time, because finding sites, pitching editors and writing articles by hand is slow work that most owners never finish.

In this post I'll explain how the service works, what Google says about guest post links, who I'd hire, and then which AI models I'd trust to draft the pitches.

If you'd like a plan for your own site first, you can book a free SEO strategy session with my team.

What is a guest blogging outreach service?

A guest blogging outreach service is a team you pay to get your expertise published on other people's websites.

The article helps the host site's readers, and in return it carries a natural mention or link back to you.

Some providers call the same thing guest posting, and others call it blogger outreach.

FATJOE draws a line on its own page, because it says its blogger outreach posts come from the blog owner rather than a guest author profile.

I learned this work the hard way, because my first site was a cryptocurrency blog that got zero Google traffic until I learned link building.

How a guest blogging outreach service runs a campaign

Every provider I checked describes some version of the same five stages.

StageWhat the service doesWhat you should check
1. ProspectingIt builds a list of relevant sites that accept contributed articlesYou can see and reject sites before anyone pitches them
2. PitchingIt finds the editor and sends a short, personal email with an article ideaYou know whose name the pitch goes out under
3. ContentIt writes the article for the host site's readersYou approve the topic and see the draft
4. PlacementThe editor publishes the article with a natural linkThe link sits in the body copy with a plain anchor
5. ReportingIt lists every live URL with the date and target pageYou can open every placement yourself

The prospecting stage decides most of the value, because a placement is only as good as the site it sits on.

The reporting stage is how you hold the provider to account, so never accept a campaign where you can't see the live links.

DIY or hire a service?

You can run guest blogging outreach yourself, and I'd recommend trying it once so you know what good looks like.

FactorDoing it yourselfHiring a service
TimeYou spend hours each week on lists, pitches and follow-upsThe service spends that time and you review the results
ControlYou choose every site and write every wordYou keep control only if the provider lets you approve sites
RelationshipsYou build your own contacts with editorsThe contacts often stay with the provider
ConsistencyOutput drops whenever you get busyPlacements keep coming if the provider is organised

My honest view is that most owners should learn the process first and then hire, because then nobody can sell them rubbish.

How I use AI agents for guest post outreach

Inside my Agent OS, I run outreach with a tool called Hermes Outreach, and the full walkthrough is in my Hermes Outreach link building guide.

I find and enrich prospects in the Leads tab, so each company becomes a real person with a name, job title and email.

I validate every address, so only deliverable emails become sendable.

I type one or two sentences about what the campaign is pitching, and the AI writes a personalised email for each prospect with their name, site and a reason.

I preview every email as a Gmail draft, and then I send a safe batch each day.

In the real campaign from that guide, I pitched my new Mixture of Agents blog post to eight relevant SEO and content sites, and the email offered a link, a guest post or a mention.

Every email carries a "reply STOP" line and a one-click unsubscribe header, and anyone who opts out is never emailed again.

My Hermes Outreach Engine guide covers the finding side, including a search like "AI automation blogs that take guest posts".

I built its verification step because my first cold campaign used guessed role addresses, and nine emails bounced before the campaign got flagged and shut down.

The agents do the finding, checking and first drafts, and I still read every email before it goes out.

What Google says about guest post links

Google's Search Central blog says it does not discourage guest articles that inform users, educate another site's audience or bring awareness to your company.

It says the violation is when the main intent is building links back to the author's site at scale.

The warning signs it lists are keyword-rich links, articles spread across many sites, writers who don't know the topic and reused content.

Google's spam policies list links with optimised anchor text in guest posts as an example of link spam.

They also list exchanging money for links, or for posts that contain links, as link spam.

Google says paid links for advertising are fine when they carry rel="nofollow" or rel="sponsored", and its page on qualifying outbound links says sponsored is preferred.

So write genuinely useful articles, keep anchors plain and ask every provider how paid placements are marked.

The guest blogging outreach services I'd shortlist

I read each provider's own page on 15 October 2026, and I'm only repeating what each one says about itself.

I haven't hired the third-party providers or listed prices, and the order reflects how clearly each page explains the five stages and the control it gives you.

RankProviderWhat its own page says
1Goldie Agency (mine)Manual outreach with no PBNs, real backlinks on high-authority sites and niche-relevant placements
2Outreach MonksManual-only guest posting since 2017, and you approve every site before any pitch
3Rhino RankA UK team pitches real site owners by hand and reports every live URL
4OutreachZManaged guest posts covering prospecting, pitching, content, placement and reporting
5Linkbuilder.ioIt convinces industry editors to accept well-researched contributed articles
6Authority BuildersReal outreach to real bloggers, with an inventory you can browse yourself
7LoganixHand-selected placements or a publisher database, with a white-label report of live URLs
8FATJOEBlogger outreach where the post comes from the blog owner, shown in a dashboard

Number one: Goldie Agency

Goldie Agency is the SEO and link building agency I started on my own, and it now has a team of 70+ people.

It's my company, so this is the most biased part of the page.

Our manual outreach guide describes the method as creating something link-worthy, finding relevant sites, personalising the pitch, following up and earning an in-content link.

The strategy session page lists expert bylines, independent reviews, industry comparisons and research-led coverage as the placements the team plans with you.

Goldstar Links describes the skyscraper technique and a 3-layer approval process for every backlink.

Paid work is scoped after the session, so I won't quote a price here.

What a good guest post looks like

A good guest post would be worth publishing even if it carried no link at all.

It answers a real question the host site's readers have, and it's written by someone who understands the topic.

The link sits naturally inside the article and points to a page that genuinely helps the reader go deeper.

The anchor is plain and descriptive, such as your brand name or the title of the page, rather than the same keyword every time.

The host site has real readers, covers your topic and doesn't publish posts about everything under the sun.

If a placement fails any of those checks, I'd rather skip it than add it to my link profile.

Questions to ask before you hire

  • Can I see and approve every site before you pitch it?
  • Who writes the articles, and do they know my topic?
  • Where will the link sit, and how will you choose the anchor?
  • Are any placements paid, and how will those links be marked?
  • How will you report every live URL?

Red flags

  • A provider that guarantees rankings is promising something nobody controls.
  • A provider that won't show you the sites is hiding the most important part of the work.
  • Exact-match anchors on every link match the pattern Google warns about.
  • A huge number of placements for a tiny fee usually means thin content on weak sites.

Which AI models can draft guest post pitches?

Now for the GoldieBench part, and I need to be clear about what it measures.

GoldieBench scores models on one-shot builds such as landing pages, apps, games and visuals, on a 0 to 10 scale.

It doesn't measure email writing, reply rates or link building results, and none of the providers above ships its own model on the board.

I couldn't verify from their sites which model each provider uses internally, so ask them directly.

What the board does show is how well a model follows a detailed brief first time, which is exactly what a pitch-writing agent has to do.

In my Hermes Outreach guide, the writer model shown for that campaign is Opus 4.8.

These are the live averages from each model's page.

ModelGoldieBench averageWhere I'd use it in outreach
Claude Opus 58.27Final pitches and guest articles that an editor will read closely
Hermes MoA8.17A panel approach for research-heavy briefs, and the topic of the blog post I pitched
GPT-5.6 Sol8.16A strong alternative for drafts and article outlines
MiniMax M37.97High-volume first drafts where cost matters
Opus 4.87.51The writer shown in my Hermes Outreach campaign
Qwable 5 27B Coder7.14A free local option for summarising prospect sites
Claude Sonnet 57.01Fast, iterative pitch variations

Claude Opus 5 is the highest-scoring single Claude model on the board at 8.27.

Opus 4.8 averages 7.51, which is lower than Opus 5 on these one-shot builds, so newer models are worth testing in the same workflow.

Qwable 5 27B Coder averages 7.14 and runs locally for free, which suits the repetitive job of summarising each prospect's site.

You can compare the free local options on the local models board.

Please don't read these scores as a ranking of which model writes the best outreach email, because the board doesn't test that.

What the model scores mean for outreach

The model matters less than the system around it.

A strong model with a lazy brief still writes a generic pitch that editors ignore.

A cheaper model with a clear brief, a real reason for each site and a human editor can write very good pitches.

My practical setup is a cheaper or local model for prospect research and a top model for anything an editor will read.

A person still reviews every email, because no score on this leaderboard replaces judgement about a relationship.

FAQ

What are guest blogging outreach services?

They are teams that get your articles published on relevant websites with a link back to you. They handle prospecting, pitching, content, placement and reporting.

Which guest blogging outreach service is best?

Julian Goldie ranks his own agency, Goldie Agency, first and discloses the bias. His third-party shortlist is Outreach Monks, Rhino Rank, OutreachZ, Linkbuilder.io, Authority Builders, Loganix and FATJOE.

Are guest post links against Google's rules?

Not automatically. Google says it does not discourage guest articles that inform users. Its spam policies list large-scale guest posting for links, optimised anchors in guest posts and paid links that pass ranking credit as link spam.

Do guest blogging outreach services ship their own AI model?

None of the providers in this post has a model on GoldieBench. They sell services, and their sites do not confirm which model each one uses, so ask them directly.

Which AI model scores highest for drafting outreach?

GoldieBench does not test email writing. On its one-shot builds, Claude Opus 5 averages 8.27, Hermes MoA 8.17, GPT-5.6 Sol 8.16, MiniMax M3 7.97 and Opus 4.8 7.51.

How much do guest blogging outreach services cost?

Prices vary by provider and site quality and change often, so none are listed. Goldie Agency scopes paid work after a free strategy session.
