Grok Bot For Business + Which AI Models Fit: What Live GoldieBench Scores Mean For A Small Business

Grok Bot has no model picker, so here is how live GoldieBench scores fit a small business plan, and why approvals beat averages.

Grok Bot for business chooses its own model for every task, so benchmark scores help you set expectations and pick the models around it, not the one inside it.

This page reads the live GoldieBench pages on 4 November 2026 and says what each score means for a small business running Grok Bot.

Every score is quoted from the page it sits on, and the safety facts come from the official Grok Bot approvals docs.

Why no benchmark tells you which model Grok Bot runs

The Grok Bot FAQ says there's no model picker.

Grok Bot picks a backend model per task, the pick can change from one request to the next, and you can't route work to or away from a model.

So a GoldieBench score for Grok is a score for xAI's chat model, not a score for Grok Bot.

The practical rule for a business: check any figure or claim a Bot produces against its source before you act on it.

The live GoldieBench numbers worth knowing

ModelAvg / 10TasksPage read
Fusion8.5947/models/
Claude Opus 58.2750/models/
Hermes MoA8.1747/models/
GPT-5.6 Sol8.1650/models/
Claude Fable 58.1047/models/
Grok8.0947 tested/models/grok
Grok 4.77.1520/models/grok47

The leaderboard header reads "33 models, 1310 task attempts, 26 models with curated 0–10 verdicts".

A conflict on the Grok page you should know about

The Grok model page shows an 8.09/10 average across 47 tasks tested and says 43 of them are scored against the field.

The same page also lists a trade-off saying it's currently unranked, and calls standalone bench scoring pending.

The methodology page lists Grok among models with zero scored tasks, shown as unranked.

Treat the 8.09 as a working number, not a final rank.

What the bench measures, and what it doesn't

Every GoldieBench model gets the same fixed prompts, one shot, with a single HTML file as the output, scored 0–10.

That's a test of building pages, games and visual demos.

It doesn't test inbox triage, receipt matching, CRM research or how a model behaves at an approval card.

So for business jobs inside Grok Bot, the safety settings matter more than any average here.

Two Grok task scores do touch business work: Landing Page scored 9.0 and Aipbpromo Page scored 7.0 on the Grok scorecard.

How to pair models with Grok Bot for business

This is our own reading of the scores and the docs, not an official xAI pairing.

  • Grok Bot: the approval-gated work in its cloud computer, such as inbox drafts, receipt packs and CRM research.
  • A top-scoring model in your Agent OS: the planning around it, such as Bot briefs, Ask first rule lists and web pages, where Fusion at 8.59 and Claude Opus 5 at 8.27 lead the board.
  • Hermes MoA at 8.17: an option when you want a panel of models rather than one vendor.

Whichever model drafts the rules, you still paste them into Grok Bot yourself and approve its actions there.

The approval settings that matter more than any score

Auto Review checks each action before the Bot runs it.

Cards offer Allow once (no rule saved), Always allow (saves an Allow rule) and Deny (no retry until your next message).

Text from an email or a web page never counts as your request, whichever model reads it.

Email a routine writes waits as a draft until someone presses Send.

Keep sending, publishing, purchases, deletes, permission changes and legal terms on Ask first.

Vault, Secrets and shared Bots in one table

ItemWhere it livesWhat the Bot sees
Your logins and cardsVaultNot the password, card number or code
Shared Bot API keysSecretsName and description only
Team Bot logins (v0.78.1)Team Bot Vault, Configure → ToolsNot the password

The Vault page says shared Bots don't support Vault, while the v0.78.1 changelog adds a Team Bot Vault for logins, so check your build.

On a shared Bot, Collaborators chat and Managers also edit it, chats stay private even from the owner, and the person being answered approves and pays that usage.

For the full sharing side, read our Grok Bot teams model guide.

Teams versus Enterprise-only controls

Teams and Enterprise both get Team Rules and the connector policy, where blocked apps read "Disabled by team admin".

Enterprise alone gets the MCP allowlist, Enforce Auto-review and team Auto-review rules, per the teams and enterprises page.

Plans by name: Premium, Super and Ultra on The X Subscription include Grok Bot, and Plus doesn't.

Four business jobs, with the model question answered

Front desk. Gmail forwards booking mail to a plus alias on the Bot's address, a routine drafts each reply, and staff press Send. The Gmail connector itself links one mailbox and isn't a routine trigger.

Bookkeeping prep. Receipts land in a +receipts alias, a weekly routine matches them to the expense sheet and flags gaps, and you check every total because the model can change per request.

Sales follow-up. The Bot reads one CRM view, drafts follow-ups and returns a review list, then you approve each send.

Agency reporting. A shared Bot holds a read-only key in Secrets, account managers ask in private chats, and the v0.78.1 Only you setting keeps it to the owner during testing.

Notice that none of the four jobs depends on a benchmark average: each one depends on a draft, a review and an approval.

A five-step plan to start this week

  1. Pick one job from the four above and write its brief with a top-scoring model in your Agent OS.
  2. Have the same model draft five narrow Ask first rules, then add them under Settings → General → Bot → Custom Rules.
  3. Run the job once in a Grok Bot chat, correct the output, and save it as a skill.
  4. Test the skill on a second input before you add a routine, as the use cases page advises.
  5. Re-read the live board monthly, since GoldieBench averages move as new models and tasks land.

Keep Allow once as the default for anything that touches money, customer accounts or shared files.

And remember that all your Bots share one cloud computer, so a separate Bot per client is not a security wall.

FAQ

Does GoldieBench score Grok Bot itself?

No. The Grok page scores xAI's Grok chat model. Grok Bot picks its own model per task and does not show which one handled a request.

What is Grok's GoldieBench average?

The Grok model page read on 4 November 2026 shows 8.09/10 across 47 tasks tested, though the same page and the methodology page also call it unranked.

Which model should write my Grok Bot rules?

Any strong model in your Agent OS can draft them. On the live board Fusion leads at 8.59 and Claude Opus 5 sits at 8.27, but you still paste the rules into Grok Bot yourself.

Do benchmark scores change how safe Grok Bot is?

No. Safety comes from Auto Review, Ask first rules and the rule that email or web text never counts as your request.
